| Schoolhouse Pond Upper Marlboro, MD http://www.pgparks.com/places/nature/school.html Located across the street from the Prince George's County Administration Building in Upper Marlboro, this site includes a 12-acre pond and surrounding parkland. A fishing pier, photoblind, ¾-mile boardwalk, picnic area, and nature trail are located on-site. From the Capital Beltway (I-495), take Exit 11A, Pennsylvania Ave., South (Route 4). Follow Route 4 seven miles and exit at Upper Marlboro. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Water St. Go through the first light (Main St). Bear right, and Schoolhouse Pond is on the left. From Route 301(south) take the entrance ramp to MD Route 4, North to Washington, D.C. Take the first exit, Upper Marlboro/Equestrian Center/Showplace Arena. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp onto Water Street. Go through the first light (Main Street). Bear right, and Schoolhouse Pond is on the left. |
